Our After School Madrasah is designed not only to provide your child with care and supervision, but expand the student’s awareness about the community and environment, and our responsibilities as khalifah on earth through various lessons and activities.

Give your child the equal opportunity to learn the essentials of Qurʾānic recitation, memorization and Islamic education. The best alternative to a full-time Islamic school.

Qur'an

Student will be taught how to memorise the assigned Surahs utilising the Tajweed and proper pronunciation.

Develop students' understanding of the Surah through stories and activities.

Tafseer

Students will be introduced to the essentials of Tajweed from 7 years old and gradually transitioned towards enhancing their recitation of the Qur'an.

Tajweed

Reciting the Qur'an in a measured manner where all the rules are considered and incorporated for an apt and beautiful recitation.

Pronunciation

Students will be assigned to memorise a few Surahs from Juz'Amma (30 part).

  • What is the Little Discoverers Programme offered by DiscoverDeen?
    The Little Discoverers Programme is a specialised Islamic education programme designed to provide young learners with a strong foundation in Islamic teachings, values, and practices.
  • What age group is the programme suitable for?
    The programme is tailored for children aged 3 to 6 years old, ensuring age-appropriate content and activities.
  • What subjects are covered in the Little Discoverers Programme?
    The programme covers a range of subjects, including Quranic recitation, basic Islamic knowledge such as the Seerah of the Prophets, Tafseer (learning and understanding the values of the surah), and Adab & Akhlak (Islamic Values).
  • Is the programme conducted in English?
    Yes, the programme is primarily conducted in English, ensuring that young learners can understand and engage effectively.
  • What are the benefits of enrolling my child in the Little Discoverers Programme?
    Enrolling your child in this programme provides them with a solid foundation in Islamic knowledge, promotes positive character development, and nurtures a love for learning and practicing Islam.
  • What is the schedule and duration of the programme?
    The programme runs on weekends. Each session lasts for 2.5 hours and includes a balanced blend of lessons and interactive activities.
  • How qualified are the educators conducting the programme?
    Our educators are recognised by the Asatizah Recognition Board and are well-qualified and experienced in Islamic education. However, please note that our centre is not specially trained to accommodate children with special needs or developmental delays.
  • What teaching methods are used in the programme?
    Lessons in the programme are taught using PowerPoint (PPT) slides and visual aids to enhance learning and engagement among students.
  • What is the class ratio for students in different age groups?
    For children aged 3 to 4 years old, there is a ratio of 10 kids to 2 teachers. For children aged 5 to 6 years old, the ratio is 15 kids to 2 teachers.
  • Is there limited space available for new students in 2025?
    Yes, our available space for new students in 2025 is quite limited, given our current student enrollment.
  • Is there any assessment or evaluation for the students?
    Students aged 4 years old will commence their assessments from Semester 2, while students aged 5 and 6 years old will undergo weekly assessments of their Quranic literacy to monitor their progress towards achieving proficiency.
  • Can I receive updates about my child's learning in the programme?
    Parents will receive periodic updates on their child's activities and learning during the programme via our school portal. Please note that parent-teacher meetings are typically not scheduled, unless there is a compelling reason.
  • What if my child does not thrive in a large class group environment?
    If your child does not thrive in a big class group environment, please consider this factor when deciding on enrolment.
  • What are the fees for the programme?
    The monthly fee for the programme is currently $100. Please note that fees for 2025 will be subject to adjustment and may differ from the current rate. Additionally, fees are applicable for the months of June and December, despite school holiday closures and no lessons during these periods.
  • Is the programme open year-round, including holidays?
    The programme aligns with the MOE school calendar and operates on regular school days. Please note that we do close during scheduled school holidays.
  • What are the expectations for students aged 3 and 4?
    Students, especially those who are 3 and 4 years old, are expected to be able to communicate with teachers and be developmentally ready for a classroom setting. This includes participating in sit-down lessons, craft activities and interactive oral lessons. The language of instruction is English. If your 3-year-old has not yet developed clear speech, the ability to sit attentively for lessons, or the capacity to engage effectively with teachers, this programme may not be suitable for them.
